At the rear, bold angular styling continues, but it is less pointed than the previous model while retaining its uniqueness from any other CUV currently in the marketplace. Contoured taillights not only look inviting, but they offer the practical benefit of getting noticed for their style and call to action during the day or night with their sharp design and bright glow. Interior: Step inside the new Eclipse Cross and you quickly realize there is a level of comfort and convenience not found in most CUV’s with a price starting well below $30,000 CAD. Seating is for five and there is plenty of head, hip, shoulder and legroom for both front and rear occupants. In the GT model featured here, a 6-way power driver’s seat and 4-way power passenger seat is standard. Heated front seats are standard on all trim levels in 2022, a welcome feature especially here in Canada, with heated rear added to the SEL and GT models.

Dual-zone climate control in the SE, SEL and GT models works flawlessly and heats or cools the vehicle quickly. A thick, sporty 3-spoke leather- wrapped steering wheel houses audio, voice- control and cruise control switches, with adaptive cruise control standard on SEL and GT models. It feels good to the touch and offers a solid connection to what’s happening on the road. Large white on black gauges provide easy-to-read information and there are a host of buttons to the left and right of the steering wheel for fine-tuning the Eclipse Cross to the way you drive. Storage is always an issue with vehicles today, and there is plenty of it placed throughout the interior cabin. From large front door pockets, a centre console with storage and dual cupholders, plus behind the front seat storage pouches and a folding center armrest with cupholders for backseat passengers. Leather seating is featured in the GT, while a heated steering wheel is standard on all but the ES model.
