It all began in a small cluster of rented office space on Matheson Boulevard. And yes, this is a true story, one about Paul Simmonds, the retiring Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada. And it’s also an origins story going back 20 years to the very founding of the company. “It was just five guys and a clean sheet of paper, and we had to put a car company together,” chuckles Simmonds, the upbeat, good-humoured people-person who is retiring at the end of March 2022 – he being the last of those Founding Five. “Yes, it was a lot of work, but it was also a lot of fun.”
